Welcoming of May a Collescipoli

This "welcoming of May" is connected to San Nicolò,Patron Saint of Collescipoli, who is celebrated on 9 May. As well as the religious procession, the town's medieval past is also brought to life and there are jugglers, jesters, knights with their ladies, dancing, stalls and local foods. The event recalls the liberation of Collescipoli castle and its territory from the rule of the Spada family from Terni on 22 November 1564.
