Umbrian markets and fairs

Umbria is very well known for its fairs and markets which take place in many of the towns.
They are often at the same times as some of the festivals and events.

• Foligno: Festival of San Manno - 14/15 September.
• Festival of San Feliciano - 25/26 January.
  
• Bevagna: Mercato delle Gaite - second half of June.
• Perugia: Perugia market - one week from 2 November.
• Bastia Umbra: Mercatino Quattro Stagioni - the first Sunday of each new season.
• Montefalco: Artisans fair - a market selling the arisans produce in August.
  

Some places in Umbria are reknowned for the pottery they produce, some of these places are Gubbio, Deruta , Orvieto, Torgiano, Gualdo Tadino, Citta di Castello and Ficulle.
If you are looking for iron work then you might want to consider visiting Gubbio, Norcia, Citta della Pieve and Assisi.
Magione is well known for its things made from copper.
For textiles, lace and embroidery, consider visiting Perugia, Orvieto, Assisi, Panicale, Marsciano, Citta di Castello, Montefalco, Castiglione del Lago and Isola Maggiore on Lake Trasimeno.
